The Blair + Rich Wedding Project

08.10.08
Blair and Rich had a beautiful ceremony at the Dharma Rain Zen Center in SE Portland and then took a stroll up to the Edge of Belmont for their reception. I love the funky SE Portland feel of these images below...

Honeymooned!

everyone keeps asking... "what was your favorite part of your honeymoon travels?" i wish there was a quick answer to this, but the best we can come up with is "it was all wonderful!" Amsterdam, Paris, and Barcelona were all amazing to us! but while looking back through the pictures... i do have a favorite memory from each city...

Amsterdam is a great walking city, we walked many miles trying to figure our way around the city, laughing at the funny street names, if we got tired we would just stop for a snack and find a bench along a canal. we spent plenty of time walking around at night too (mostly cause the jet lag hit us hard and we were awake at night) it's too bad you can't take pictures much in the red light district...

next stop... Paris!
Paris was also a great walking town, but the blocks are much longer! luckily the metro was easy enough to navigate and the people were all very nice to us. we happened to be in Paris on Bastille Day which was quite a treat! everyone comes out to see the military jets fly over head and all the heavy tanks and what not parade Champs-Élysées avenue. later in the evening everyone gathers at the Eiffel Tower park for a huge free concert and fireworks... we managed our way in amongst everyone and had an amazing show... they blasted music with the timing of the fireworks... spectacular!

The Louvre gave us no love :( it's closed tuesdays- fyi.

our hotel was about 3 blocks from the Arc de Triomphe so we got to pay our respects many times... and by that i mean- ooh and ahh over it. and i cant leave out Notre Dame!
i liked this view better (away from the gobs of tourists :)

bienvenido a Barcelona! these last 4 pics were taken with my Holga camera and scanned in for maximum viewing pleasure...
this is a house that Gaudi built called Casa Batlló it is simple amazing!

this was taken at Park Guell, where Gaudi created amazing mosaics!

ahh... Barcelona beaches... they take their beaching seriously and i love it! they also take their tapas seriously and for that i will return!

last but not least, one shot with the holga that Nicole Wickens took during our photo session back in Paris. this day was so fun! we spent about 6 hours walking around paris taking photos, people were so sweet and gave us their "félicitations" constantly. we posed for pictures with random children and were even given a bottle of wine while on the metro going home. simply unforgettable.
