Anniversary Shoot TTD!

Jamie did it again! You might remember seeing Jamie's first Trash The Dress pics that we did shortly after her September wedding last year... well the dress was barely trashed after that and Jamie had plans to get hubby Todd involved this time and head to the beach! She planned an awesome "mid-week" anniversary celebration which included 2 nights at the ace hotel and a sweet Boudior session in their room (ooh lala) and dinners down town.
I had the perfect beach in mind and we couldn't have had a more perfect day. The sun was shinning and warm and we pretty much just shared the beach with a few surfers. Happy 1 year you two!

here are several of my favorites...

ps. I made Jamie's bouquet, based on her want of "summery" flowers and color. I got all the flowers at new seasons and arranged it at Jamie's house before we left :) I loved it!

Honeymooned!

everyone keeps asking... "what was your favorite part of your honeymoon travels?" i wish there was a quick answer to this, but the best we can come up with is "it was all wonderful!" Amsterdam, Paris, and Barcelona were all amazing to us! but while looking back through the pictures... i do have a favorite memory from each city...

Amsterdam is a great walking city, we walked many miles trying to figure our way around the city, laughing at the funny street names, if we got tired we would just stop for a snack and find a bench along a canal. we spent plenty of time walking around at night too (mostly cause the jet lag hit us hard and we were awake at night) it's too bad you can't take pictures much in the red light district...

next stop... Paris!
Paris was also a great walking town, but the blocks are much longer! luckily the metro was easy enough to navigate and the people were all very nice to us. we happened to be in Paris on Bastille Day which was quite a treat! everyone comes out to see the military jets fly over head and all the heavy tanks and what not parade Champs-Élysées avenue. later in the evening everyone gathers at the Eiffel Tower park for a huge free concert and fireworks... we managed our way in amongst everyone and had an amazing show... they blasted music with the timing of the fireworks... spectacular!

The Louvre gave us no love :( it's closed tuesdays- fyi.

our hotel was about 3 blocks from the Arc de Triomphe so we got to pay our respects many times... and by that i mean- ooh and ahh over it. and i cant leave out Notre Dame!
i liked this view better (away from the gobs of tourists :)

bienvenido a Barcelona! these last 4 pics were taken with my Holga camera and scanned in for maximum viewing pleasure...
this is a house that Gaudi built called Casa Batlló it is simple amazing!

this was taken at Park Guell, where Gaudi created amazing mosaics!

ahh... Barcelona beaches... they take their beaching seriously and i love it! they also take their tapas seriously and for that i will return!

last but not least, one shot with the holga that Nicole Wickens took during our photo session back in Paris. this day was so fun! we spent about 6 hours walking around paris taking photos, people were so sweet and gave us their "félicitations" constantly. we posed for pictures with random children and were even given a bottle of wine while on the metro going home. simply unforgettable.

http://morganandjeff.wordpress.com/

i am stoked to be so lucky this year and cant wait to get to work on other peoples weddings and other photography projects i have in mind this summer. stay tuned for those...

on another exciting front i finally purchased my first Totally Rad Action set, i bought their brand new set- The Revenge and am loving all of it!
i played around with some of Jamie & Todd's wedding images and here are the results... still have lots to learn... let me know what you think?
before: these images are lovely as is, but the TRA2 really add that punch that conveys more emotion and interest to the shots, they stand alone and would make beautiful art!
